【英语作文：My（winter及vacation）】Winter vacation is always a special time for me. It’s the time when I can relax, spend time with my family, and do the things I love. This year, my winter vacation was very different from the previous ones, and I really enjoyed it.

This winter, I didn’t go on a trip to a faraway place. Instead, I stayed at home and focused on improving myself. I spent a lot of time reading books, especially novels and science fiction. I also started learning how to cook. My mom taught me how to make some simple dishes, like fried rice and noodles. Although I wasn’t very good at it at first, I gradually got better. Cooking made me feel more independent and gave me a sense of achievement.

In addition to studying and cooking, I also had some fun activities. I played basketball with my friends every weekend. We often went to the park and played for a few hours. It was a great way to stay healthy and have fun. Sometimes, I watched movies or played video games with my brother. These moments made me feel close to my family and brought us closer together.

Another thing I did during the vacation was helping my parents around the house. I cleaned my room, washed the dishes, and even helped with shopping. It was a little tiring, but I felt proud of myself because I was contributing to the family.

Overall, this winter vacation was not only relaxing but also meaningful. I learned new skills, spent quality time with my family, and had a chance to reflect on my life. I hope next year I can have a similar vacation, maybe with a small trip, but I will always remember this one as a special time in my life.
