Hello, everyone! Welcome to our special English New Year's Newspaper for Grade Three! This little newspaper is full of fun and knowledge, just like a small treasure box waiting for you to explore.
First, let's learn some new words related to the New Year. Do you know what "happy" means? It means feeling or showing pleasure or contentment. And do you know "new"? It means not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time. These words are often used during the New Year celebration.
Next, we have a short story for you. Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Tom. Tom loved the New Year because it was a time for new beginnings. On New Year's Eve, he made a resolution to help his mom more around the house. He promised to clean his room every day and even offered to wash the dishes after dinner. His mom was very happy with his decision and gave him a big hug. From that day on, Tom worked hard to keep his promise. By the end of the month, his room was always tidy, and the dishes were sparkling clean. Tom felt so proud of himself, and his mom was proud too!
After the story, here’s a little quiz for you: What did Tom resolve to do? Did he keep his promise? If you answered correctly, give yourself a pat on the back!
Finally, we have a fun activity for you. Try drawing a picture of your own New Year's resolution. Maybe you want to read more books, play soccer every day, or help out at home. Whatever it is, draw it and share it with your friends and family.
That’s all for today's edition of the "Grade Three English New Year's Newspaper." We hope you enjoyed learning and having fun. Don’t forget to celebrate the New Year with joy and positivity. Happy New Year to all of you!
See you in the next issue!
